A decade's progress: Understanding the impact of systems influencing
A blog looking at Agenda Alliance's impact, the difficulties of tracking impact for systems change work, and how we can work together to advocate for systems change in the future.
For the first time since Agenda Alliance's inception ten years ago in 2015, we convened our 130-member strong alliance in the Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, where Agenda Alliance was originally formed. Back in 2024, we surveyed our membership on what they want from our alliance, and what consistently came up was the desire for more opportunities to come together as a collective. This was what the day was all about: bringing together our varied, experienced and passionate alliance to co-produce our way forward for the next ten years to shape how we tackle the most pronounced unmet needs facing women and girls today.
Member organisation"This was a great event. I felt hopeful about Agenda Alliance putting on future events, particularly funder events and leading sector-wide campaigns for members to join and support."
We started the day with two interactive workshops where we worked alongside our members to deliberate on power and resource sharing, coalition-building, breaking down silos, and harnessing our shared skills, commitment, and passions. Our intention was to foster a sense of collaboration across sectors, focusing on each others strengths and expertise to understand how we build a powerful and inclusive feminist movement to challenge the unmet needs faced by women and girls.
Member organisation"Great energy. It feels like a great buzz and I'm pleased to see plans to continue this alliance's coming together. The panel discussion in particular was excellent."
We then were joined by an absolute powerhouse of a panel discussing how we influence as an alliance, featuring (pictured from L-R) Anne Fox, Lady Phyll, Polly Neate CBE, Rebecca Gill and Kate Green, expertly chaired by Baroness Lola Young, who has been with Agenda Alliance since its inception in the very same venue we sat in on the day.
Member organisation"It felt empowering to get out there and keep going."

Our Alliance has gone from strength to strength this year; we celebrate the nine organisations who joined us in 2024.
We're delighted to share Agenda Alliance's impact report, detailing how we've pushed the overlooked and underrepresented needs of women and girls onto the political agenda since our formation.
